Bunyangabu Receives Four Ultrasound Machines for Health Facilities

Efforts to improve healthcare services have been intensified across the country. Bunyangabu District, which had previously lagged behind, has now received ultrasound equipment.

The initiative aims to reduce the number of babies dying at birth and to lower maternal deaths.

According to the District Health Officer of Bunyangabu, Dr. Richard Obet, said that the district has received four ultrasound scan machines, which will help health workers better monitor the condition of unborn babies.

Dr. Obet says the equipment will be distributed to four health facilities that were previously operating under poor conditions.

He adds that the new development is expected to significantly improve maternal and child healthcare services in the district.

The Bunyangabu County Member of Parliament, Hon. Kalenzi Victor, says they will continue lobbying for more medical equipment to support the district’s health system.

The Woman Member of Parliament for Bunyangabu District, Hon. Sarah Kabarokole, says as a mother, she fully understands the challenges faced by health facilities that lack essential equipment such as scan machines.

Dr. Obet, together with Hon. Kalenzi Victor, have assured residents that more medical equipment will be delivered to Health Centre III facilities across the district to strengthen service delivery.

A mother, Kyamugabe Grace, expressed joy and appreciation for the new development, saying it will greatly improve healthcare services for expectant mothers and children.
