Lwengo District Leaders Clash Over New Secondary School

A heated dispute has erupted in Lwengo District between District Chairperson Ibrahim Kitatta and Resident District Commissioner Immy Kateera over the establishment of Katovu Seed Secondary School.

The conflict arose during an inspection of government schools, with Kitatta accusing Kateera of undermining his authority and interfering in district affairs.

The RDC allegedly refused to grant approval for the school, despite the district's efforts to address the lack of government schools in the area.

The controversy has drawn attention to the challenges faced by the community, particularly the lack of government schools. Residents revealed that Katovu Seed Secondary School was established to cater to students from outside Lwengo District.
