Cavendish University VC Dr. Olive Sabiiti Urges Govt to Educate Future Leaders
Dr. Olive Sabiiti, Vice Chancellor of Cavendish University Uganda, requests government support for modern educational equipment to improve education quality for all students.
Kampala, Uganda – Dr. Olive Sabiiti, the Vice Chancellor of Cavendish University Uganda, has appealed to the government for support in securing modern educational equipment to enhance the quality of education for Ugandan students, including those with disabilities, medical students, and other learners.
Dr. Sabiiti made this request while highlighting the university’s Scholarship Program, since the university's commencement in 2008, and this year has awarded 33 scholarships to students pursuing various academic disciplines.
She emphasised the university’s commitment to producing well-rounded graduates who can compete globally, stressing the need for investment in quality education.
Fred Mufuta, the university’s marketing manager, added that Cavendish is dedicated to identifying and nurturing talented students across the country to ensure their success.
Some of the scholarship beneficiaries have expressed gratitude to the university’s leadership and their parents for the opportunity.
The University will hold its 14th graduation ceremony on 21st October at Speke Resort Munyonyo, with former Nigerian President H.E. Goodluck Jonathan, who serves as the university’s Chancellor, expected to attend. The event will be live on SALT Media, particularly SALT TV.
