Young Woman Found Dead Mukono

Nama, Mukono District – The body of a young woman was discovered in a drainage channel near a construction site in Kikubankima Village, Nama Sub-County, Mukono District. The deceased has been identified as Aisha Angel, a former resident of the area who had been reported missing.

According to locals, the circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear. Nakamatte Vivian, a friend of the deceased, revealed that the woman used multiple names but was commonly known as Aisha. She had been missing for three months, and her friends had been searching for her before receiving news of her tragic death.

Hirya Mbago, a community security officer, confirmed that the body was found in the early morning and reported to the authorities. He expressed concern over the increasing presence of youth from neighbouring villages who come to the area to consume drugs, suspecting they may be involved in such criminal activities.

Lubega Cyrus, a relative with whom the deceased had previously resided, stated that Aisha had been away from the village for some time but was generally well-behaved, making her death even more puzzling.

Emmanuel Bagenda, the Officer in Charge of Ntawo Police Station, urged the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police. He also advised young women to avoid moving alone at night and called on young men to act responsibly to ensure community safety.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of death and are appealing to the public for any relevant information.
