Residents Live in Fear as Unidentified People Raid Village, Arrest Locals, and Take Them Away in Drone.

According to residents, the armed men who arrived in drone-like vehicles appeared to have a clear mission to arrest people in the village.
 Among those taken was 
Aus Matovu’s family, who lost her 20 years ago. Reports indicate that the attackers were particularly targeting Matovu’s children.  
 
It is understood that Ausi Matovu passed away in 2005, leaving behind 90 acres of land, which she had leased to others for 49 years. He also entrusted his children to manage her estate and the land once the lease expired.  
 
However, in 2018, the 49-year lease ended, and the tenants seized the 90-acre land, forcing Matovu’s children off the property. Unknown to them, a man claiming to be a powerful figure from a neighboring country intervened, collaborating with local authorities to intimidate residents and Matovu’s family.

All this is happening in Dawe village, located in Lutembe. Kajjansi Town Council, Wakiso District. The land in question includes a highly valuable beachfront property.  
 
Today, armed men stormed the village, arresting residents and some of the late Aus Matovu’s children, taking them away unexpectedly. Locals say the raid was carried out with the involvement of the Kajjansi DPC.  
 
Residents claim they have repeatedly reported the land grabbers to various leaders, including government officials, but no action has been taken. They now call upon President Museveni to intervene and address this injustice.
