Police Arrest Lodge Manager, Hunt for Killer in Shocking 15-Year-Old Student Murder

MBALE CITY  Police in Mbale Northern Division have launched a massive manhunt for a male adult suspected of defiling and brutally murdering a 15-year-old student at Grace Guest House in Namakwekwe Ward. The victim, Sumaya Binti Edrisa a Senior Two student at Nakaloke Secondary School, was found dead in Room 11 of the lodge on March 23, 2025, with her hands and neck tied using her own veil and a towel from the guest house.

Gruesome Discovery

According to police reports, the suspect, identified only as "Iman," had checked into the lodge earlier that day, claiming he was expecting his "girlfriend." After selecting Room 11, he allegedly lured the teenager inside. Hours later, the receptionist discovered Sumaya’s lifeless, half-naked body on the bed.

Shockingly, the suspect later called the lodge manager using the victim’s phone and coldly directed them to "check Room 11." Authorities later confirmed that the killer had taken the girl’s phone and has since been using it to contact her relatives.
