Over 20 Arrested in Mbale City for Human Trafficking: Security Team Rescues 100 Jobless Youth
In a significant breakthrough against human trafficking, the security team led by Mbale City Security Head, Madam Asumi Nasikye, has arrested over 20 men involved in a large-scale human trafficking ring. The operation, which took place today along Kumi Road in Mbale City, uncovered a harrowing scheme where over 100 jobless young boys were being held under false promises of employment abroad.
According to reports, the suspects had lured the victims with promises of lucrative white-collar jobs in foreign countries. The young boys, many of whom had been kept in deplorable conditions for over six months, were left without food or proper care. Madam Asumi Nasikye also issued a stern warning to the youth, urging them to be vigilant and cautious of such schemes. "Human trafficking has become rampant, and we must all be careful. Do not fall for promises that seem too good to be true. Always verify the authenticity of any job offers, especially those that require you to pay money upfront," she advised.
