Wife Accuses Husband of Infidelity

A domestic conflict arose in Konde Village, Luwero District, over accusations of infidelity and denial of conjugal rights.

Konde Village, Luwero District – A domestic conflict has torn apart a couple in Konde Village, Nnyimbwa Sub-County, Luwero District, after the wife accused her husband of ejecting her from their home to make way for another woman, while the husband claims she has denied him conjugal rights for four years.

The couple, identified as Aisha Asiimwe, 41, and her husband Ramathan Semagulu, 45, have been married for several years and have three children together. However, their relationship has now broken down due to allegations of infidelity and neglect.

Aisha Asiimwe reported that her husband, Semagulu, recently forced her out of their home because he intends to bring another woman into the house. She expressed disbelief that Semagulu would take such an action, especially since they have children together.

Aisha revealed that she and Semagulu have been emotionally distant for a long time, and she recently discovered that he has been engaging in extramarital affairs without any attempt to hide his behavior. She also accused him of failing to provide for their children, including refusing to pay their school fees. As a result, most of the children are unable to read or write, and she appealed for assistance to restore stability to her family.

In response, Semagulu denied the allegations and claimed that Aisha has been denying him conjugal rights for the past four years, making it impossible for him to continue the marriage. He stated that he decided to leave the home and find another partner after discovering condoms in the house, which he believes are evidence of Aisha’s infidelity.

Semagulu also alleged that Aisha had previously forced his relatives out of their home, leading to tension within the family. He confirmed that he has already found another woman who offers him peace and intends to formalize their relationship with a formal introduction ceremony.

Local leaders, including the village chairperson, Mr. Mohammad Kiggundu, and the women’s leader, Nakasi Fatumah, attempted to mediate the dispute but were unsuccessful. They noted that Aisha refused to acknowledge her husband’s authority and declined to participate in reconciliation efforts, which has further complicated the situation.

Chairperson Kiggundu also mentioned that Aisha has been advised to cease engaging in land transactions independently, as most of the current problems stem from her actions. He urged both parties to uphold the dignity of their marriage and seek peaceful resolution.

The situation remains unresolved as both parties stand their ground, with Semagulu moving forward with his new relationship and Aisha seeking external support to regain her place in the home.
