How Shs1 Million PDM Money Transformed Life of Butambala Resident
President Yoweri Museveni resumed his Parish Development Model (PDM) tour in Greater Mpigi, where he met Ms. Rashida Namubiru, a resident of Butambala District whose life changed after receiving Shs1 million under the PDM program.

Ms. Namubiru, a mother of eight, shared how she used to struggle even to raise Shs100, 000 for emergencies. But everything turned around when she joined a goat-rearing group and received PDM funds through her SACCO.
With the Shs1 million, she bought four goats and built a small shelter for them. The goats multiplied, and she later sold some to improve the shelter. She also used manure from the goats to boost her coffee and banana gardens.
Her income grew, and she earned Shs1.7 million from coffee, which helped her buy a cow and take her son back to school. She proudly says that PDM restored her dignity and turned her into a self-reliant farmer and mother.
President Museveni praised her as an example of how PDM can change lives. He promised to support her with more land and Shs12 million for a tuk-tuk.
He reminded the people that PDM money is meant for all Ugandans, not just supporters of any political party. He encouraged everyone to use the funds wisely and return them to the SACCO so others can benefit too.
