Students Demostrate in Protest against EU's Remarks on Ugandan Oil Pipe-line

Students from various schools under the Uganda National students association UNSA have staged a protest, holding up placards amidst warnings to the European Parliament to withdraw from the  issue of Uganda.

Students, led by their leader Yusuf Werunga, said the statement by the European Union parliamentarians adversely affects their future.

Two weeks ,ago, the European Union Through its parliament, came out and said that approving the construction of the oil pipeline in Uganda ,will affect the environment in Uganda. This forced , leaders led by president Kaguta Museveni ,to come out and oppose the proposal of the European Union MPs.

Now this morning, students stormed the European Union headquarters, in Kampala, to express their dissatisfaction. The leader of the students Werunga Yusuf ,disregarded the EU remark that  ,the site will destroy the environment.

The students said that the British should leave the issues of Uganda, and mind their own business. It seemed to be all going on amidst peaceful protests without any interference from law enforcement agencies. And once, at the European Union headquarters , the young students, were allowed to hand over a petition at the Europeans at the headquarters.
