Parliament has congratulated the president of Kenya Dr.William Ruto with call for the formation for peaceful transition power policy.
While addressing parliament the deputy speaker Thomas Tayebwa hailed Kenya over this achievement saying it has set a precedent in Kenyan politics. However Butambala county MP Muwanga Kivumbi called upon fellow MPs to observe lesson from this election which has not seen bloodshed. But government chief whip Hamson Obua says Uganda has undergone the same process therefore this is not surprising.
Meanwhile Buikwe south MP Dr. Lulume Bayiga still insist that in the policy there is supposed to be a transition committee which is supposed to prepare the country in case there is any change of leadership.
The move has been supported by Mbale north city MP Seith Wambedde who says this is the way to g, Meanwhile across section of MPs have also demanded to have a common currency which is going to unite all the east African federation states if there are chances on having the economies on three countires be uniform.The MPs include Butalejja woman MP Florence Nebanda,Kyankwanzi woman MP Bukenya Sendawula and Hoima woman MP Asinansi Nyakato who have calle for smooth trtnasition of power.
State minister for housing and urban development Persis Namuganza has dismissed allegations of defaming parliament as it has been alleged. The minister who appeared on the parliamentary committee of rules and privileges chaired by Pajoro county father Charles Onen has a biter exchange with other committee members who questioned the conduct of her lawyer the minister had ealier tasked the committee to produce evidence where she made the utterance from where she was referred to the hansard.
The MPs were also angered on the way Namuganza lawyers instructed how the committee is supposed to be proceeding leaving Bukonzo south MP Atkins Katusabe threatening to vacate the committee.
