Over 1,000 local and 30 international companies will participate in the 31st Uganda International Trade Fair.
Kampala, Uganda – More than 1,000 local manufacturers and over 30 international companies have confirmed their participation in the upcoming 31st Uganda International Trade Fair, scheduled to take place from October 2nd at the UMA Show Ground in Lugogo.
The announcement was made by the Executive Director of the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA), Mr. Agha Sekalaala, during the official launch of the event at the UMA Multipurpose Hall. He emphasised that the trade show will provide a vital platform for local manufacturers to engage with new clients, showcase their products, and explore market opportunities.
Mr. Sekalaala highlighted the significance of the event in boosting local business visibility and fostering partnerships both regionally and internationally.
Also speaking at the launch, the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Monica Musenero, urged Ugandan manufacturers to embrace the latest technological advancements to enhance productivity and competitiveness in the global market. She reaffirmed her ministry’s commitment to supporting manufacturers in adopting innovative solutions to drive industrial growth.

In a move to modernize access to the event, MTN Mobile Money Manager, Mr. John Isabirye, announced a partnership with UMA to facilitate digital ticket sales. Through this collaboration, attendees can purchase tickets via the MTN Mobile Money app, while schools and educational institutions will have the option to access tickets through MoMo, making the process convenient and accessible.
