A TikTok clip showed complaints about HARISS INTERNATIONAL’s factory allegedly releasing sewage into a nearby channel, witnessed by MP Luyimbazi Nalukoola.
After the circulation of a certain clip on one of the social media sites, TikTok, where some people who are staying near the Factory of HARISS INTERNATIONAL complained about the factory that it is releasing sewage to the neighbours through the channel which passes near the Factory. All this was done in the presence of the member of parliament of that area, Kawempe North Luyimbazi Nalukoola.
After that incident Ministry of Health and Kampala Capital Authority Inspectors, and some people from the community and some leaders visited  HARRIS International to verify the accusations which were done by the peopleÂ
They moved around and inspected the whole area with the guidance of Ndahiro Bright Health Safety controller Hariss International.
Leaders and inspectors were surprised to see a very well upgraded system which works on sewerage, and the drainage was clean, and all this differs from what was said by the people on the circulating clip.
After Hariss' inspection, the inspectors from KCCA and the ministry decided to go and inspect the channel, which is outside Hariss International. It was found that the problem is caused by people staying near the channel, who release sewage and pour rubbish into it, despite blaming Hariss International.
In this case, Henry Kawul, a manager of health inspection from Kampala Capital City Authority that is going directly to Kawempe Division to issue a warning to people staying near the channel to stop this act of letting sewage into the channel
After the inspection, some residents pleaded to Kampala Capital City Authority to help them and build the channel, so that it will stop the blame game.
