Police Impound Taxis Over Unpaid Fines in Mpigi Crackdown

A police operation in Mpigi District has led to the impoundment of more than 20 taxis found operating without valid Fines. The crackdown, conducted along the busy Masaka Highway, was supervised by OC Traffic Abel Wabwire and lasted from 3:00 AM until 8:00 AM. Authorities targeted public service vehicles whose operators had failed to regularize their licensing documents.

Truck Accident in Wantoni Leaves Three Dead, Nine Injured

Mukono, Uganda – A horrific accident occurred in Wantoni Trading Centre, Mukono Central Division, when a Fuso lorry (UBB 422U) lost control and rammed into multiple vehicles and roadside vendors, killing three people and injuring nine others. The incident happened around 3:30 AM, leaving the area in chaos as emergency responders struggled to assist victims.
