Village Health Teams (VHTs) in Lwengo have vowed to strike, citing a lack of justice at the district headquarters. The VHTs, who were invited for selection and training to provide healthcare services to the community, claim they have been unfairly treated by politicians.
According to the VHTs, they have been working for 15 years without compensation, despite the government's introduction of the kyu policy, which aimed to support healthcare workers.
