Kapchorwa District, Uganda – A horrific accident occurred today at around 12:40 pm along the Kapchorwa-Mbale highway near Kapwachiti, claiming the lives of nine people and leaving three others injured. Preliminary reports indicate that the fatal crash was caused by brake failure, leading to the vehicle losing control on a slope and overturning.  
 
According to eyewitnesses and police reports, the driver was transporting both cattle and passengers on the same truck—a dangerous and illegal practice. The vehicle, which was carrying people on top of the cargo, suffered a mechanical failure as it descended a slope. The driver reportedly lost control due to brake failure, causing the truck to overturn.

Residents of Makindu Village in Buikwe District are still reeling from shock after a horrific accident involving a passenger coach that overturned and caught fire following a near-collision with a boda boda rider. The incident, which occurred on [insert date], has left the community in mourning as authorities work to determine the exact number of casualties.  

 

Heavy rainfall this morning led to multiple accidents along the Jinja-Mukono Highway, causing significant traffic disruptions. Two separate collisions near the Namanve Coca-Cola factory involved a Canter truck and a trailer, further complicating the already challenging road conditions.  
 
The first accident involved a Canter truck, registration number UA 895AM which was transporting goods. The vehicle reportedly lost control due to the slippery road, leading to a collision. Shortly after, a trailer carrying a container was also involved in a separate accident near the same location.
