Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League: Lady Doves, Amus Game Postponed

The Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League returns this weekend with matchday 14 after a brief hiatus due to international engagements.

However, the highly anticipated clash between Lady Doves and Amus College Women Football Club has been postponed.

The encounter, initially slated for Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, at Lady Doves’ home ground in Masindi, will now be played at a later date. Both clubs have been notified, and the postponement has been mutually agreed upon.

The decision to postpone the game was prompted by Amus College’s request, as they have three players representing the Uganda U17 girls’ national team ahead of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers game against Kenya.

The new date for this fixture will be communicated to both parties in due course.

Amus College currently occupies second place in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League standings with 25 points, while Lady Doves sit fourth with 21 points.

This weekend’s action will feature five thrilling matches, including table leaders Kampala Queens hosting She Corporate, She Maroons visiting Uganda Martyrs, Makerere welcoming relegation-threatened Tooro Queens, and Olila hosting Rines. All four games are scheduled for Saturday, with Kawempe visiting winless Wakiso Hill on Sunday.

Lady Doves’ prolific striker, Resty Kobusobozi, currently tops the scoring charts with 10 goals and three assists from 13 games.
