New Curriculum Implementation Worries Private School Leaders In Mpigi District

Private school owners in Mpigi District have expressed concerns over the implementation of the new curriculum following the release of S.4 examination results. They argue that the new system will eliminate competition among schools, as many parents are still struggling to understand their children's performance under the new framework.

Faisal Zzaake, the Chairperson of Private Schools in Mpigi District, stated that they have made significant efforts to explain the new curriculum to parents and ensure its smooth implementation in their schools.

Yusufu Lusiba Gainamungu, the Inspector of Schools in Mpigi District, emphasized that all teachers in the district will undergo retraining to fully understand the new curriculum.

Deogratius Ssekyole, the Director of Education in Mpigi, during a meeting at the Mpigi District headquarters, urged private school leaders to avoid greed, which has contributed to the decline in the quality of education in their schools.

He also warned against politicizing the national education system, urging stakeholders to focus on improving standards.
