Ugandans and Indians Gather in Large Numbers to Bury Rajiv Ruparelia, Son of Sudhir Ruparelia, Who Died in an Accident on Munyonyo-Busabala Flyover Last Sunday Morning.Â

The body of Rajiv Ruparelia was cremated according to Indian traditions at HUND CREMATORIUM Tempo in Lugogo. Â

RAJIV RUPARELIA was born on January 2, 1990, to Mr. Sudhir Ruparelia and Mrs. Jyotsna Ruparelia, and passed away at the age of 35. Â

The tragic accident that cut short Rajiv Ruparelia’s life has left the entire nation in mourning. Â

As we reported earlier, the accident occurred when Rajiv was driving a Nissan GT-R (Registration 638L) at around 1:45 AM. The car crashed into barriers placed on the Munyonyo-Busabala Flyover and burst into flames. Â

Today, before the cremation, family members, close friends, and well-wishers, led by his father Sudhir Ruparelia, held a funeral procession at various properties, starting with Speke Resort Munyonyo, buildings in Kampala, Crane Chambers, Speke Apartments, and others—a symbolic farewell to his wealth and legacy. Â

Also present were his racing cars and high-end motorcycles, as motorsport was one of his greatest passions. Â

At 2:40 PM, Rajiv’s body was taken to Lugogo for cremation. Â

Some Indians were seen weeping uncontrollably as they performed their last rites before Rajiv was cremated. Â

Sudhir Ruparelia, who had only one close friend named Alina (now deceased), had one child, Inara. Now, Sudhir is left with two daughters, Shina Ruparelia and Meera Ruparelia.
