The body of late Cedrick Babu Ndilima arrives in Uganda
The body of the late Cedrick Babu arrived at Entebbe International Airport at 9 PM aboard a Kenyan Airways flight, accompanied by his grieving family members, including his father, Captain Francis Babu, and mother, Hon. Margaret Ziwa. The somber arrival was received by representatives from Uganda Funeral Services and members of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU).
A motorcade, led by a Uganda Police lead car, transported the body from Entebbe via the Kampala-Entebbe Expressway to Bukoto, the home of Uganda Funeral Services, where preparations to take the body to his residential home in kololo this evening are underway.
Prayers will be held this evening at the family home in Naguru as friends, relatives, and colleagues gather to pay their respects.
Ambassador Michael Katungi, in charge of PLU Diaspora Affairs, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Cedrick as a "visionary leader" whose contributions will be deeply missed.
“We have lost a great leader, a man who dedicated his life to service and progress. Our heartfelt condolences go to his family, the nation, and our Chairman, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba,” said Katungi.
Tomorrow, the late Cedrick Babu will be honored at the Lugogo Arena by the National Council of Sports in recognition of his impactful work in sports of Uganda and Members of the Patriotic League of Uganda and other dignitaries will join to celebrate his Legacy
Cedrick Babu Ndilima who was the National vice Chairman Patriotic League of Uganda Kampala Metropolitan will be laid to rest on Saturday in Kamengo, Mpigi District, where a funeral service will be held before his burial. The nation continues to mourn a man celebrated for his leadership and dedication to Uganda’s development.
