MTN Partners with Busoga Kingdom to Combat Teenage Pregnancies

Jinja, Uganda – His Royal Highness (HRH) the Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Wilberforce Nadiope Gabula IV, has commended MTN Uganda for its steadfast support in advancing the kingdom’s initiatives, particularly in the fight against teenage pregnancies and the promotion of socio-cultural development.

 
Kyabazinga acknowledged MTN Uganda’s contributions to Busoga, including sponsorship of football and boat racing, and campaigns against child marriages and teenage pregnancies.
"MTN has been a reliable partner in preserving our heritage and addressing critical challenges like teenage pregnancies. Their support extends beyond commerce to tangible community transformation," stated the Kyabazinga.  
MTN Uganda’s CEO reaffirmed the company’s commitment to partnering with the kingdom, focusing on youth empowerment, cultural preservation, and health advocacy.
"Our collaboration with Busoga Kingdom aligns with MTN’s vision of fostering inclusive development. We are proud to support initiatives that empower youth and celebrate cultural identity," said Mulinge.  
The kingdom announced the 2025 Busoga Masaza Cup, kicking off on 12th July 2025 at Budiope Irundu Grounds, with MTN as a key sponsor. The tournament aims to unite communities and nurture talent.  
The meeting attendees included Dr. Joseph Muvawala Nsekele (Katukiro of Busoga), Owek Nur Osman (Deputy Katukiro), and Busoga Kingdom Ministers.  
The partnership underscores a shared commitment to leveraging corporate-community collaborations for sustainable development.
