Mukono District Grapples with Complex Family Crisis as Man Struggles with 7 Children from Different Women Â
Mukono, Uganda – A heartbreaking family drama has unfolded in Ngandu Village, Mukono Municipality, where Isaac Natukunda (39) finds himself overwhelmed after his wife Marion Kasowole (27) abandoned him with seven children from different women, including a 14-year-old. Â
Â
Natukunda, a struggling father, was evicted from his rented home after failing to pay rent for 9 months. Â
His wife left him 15 years into their marriage, frustrated by his inability to support the family and his habit of fathering children with multiple women who then dump the kids on him. Â
The Mukono District Probation Officer, Dorah Najjuma Jjuuko, intervened, giving Kasowole a one-week ultimatum to return and care for her biological children. Â
Â
Natukunda, visibly distressed, explained: Â
"I can’t handle all these children alone. Some mothers just disappear after delivery. My wife left because she was tired of caring for kids who aren’t hers." Â
Â
Locals revealed that Natukunda frequently impregnates women from the Busoga region, who later abandon the children with him. Â
Village Chairperson Ibrahim Kitenda condemned Natukunda’s irresponsible behaviour, calling it a cycle of neglect. Â
Deputy RDC Hassan Kasibante urged men to stop reckless procreation: "If you can’t care for children, don’t father them!" Â
