The World Bank recently visited Mukono district to assess the progress of the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area project.
The delegation, including town clerk Francis Byabagambi, Mayor Erisa Mukasa, and officials from the Ministry of Kampala, inspected road and market construction.
During the visit, it was revealed that 85% of residents have submitted consent forms, allowing road construction to proceed. A World Bank official urged local leaders to encourage remaining residents to submit their forms.
Deputy MP Rhoda Kaggaga emphasized the importance of collaboration among residents, technical teams, and politicians to ensure the project's success.
