Uganda is preparing a head of the Uganda international open, the biggest badminton tournament in the nation and one of the major tournaments on the continent.
The tournament will kick off next week from 20th to 22nd February 2020, over 164 players from 35 countries will participating the competitions.
According to Bernard Ogwal from national council of sports, the government of Ugandans is one of the sponsors of the tournament.
Various players hope to accumulate pints during the tournament that will see them qualify for the Olympics. Uganda’s hopes are in the players such as Kasirye, Gladys Mababazi, Kirabo Fred Davis Senono, Amos Mayanja, Husna Kobugabe, though Uganda’s number one Aish Nakiyemba who is currently in America will not participate in the completions.
