Express FC has been knocked out of Stanbic bank Uganda cup after being defeated by Maroons fc 4-3 in penalty shootouts following the 90 minutes 3-3 draw.
Frank Akalanda scored the first goal for the express fc in 5th minute. In the 9th minute David Ndihabwe scored an equalizer for maroons FC, in addition Maxwell Okello gave maroons a 2-1 lead in first half. In 51 minute express scored an equalizer and an own goal in the 60 minute.
However in the 6 added minutes the express FC captain Didan Galiwango scored an equalizer through a penalty shoot.
During the penalty shootouts, Didan was the first to take the penalty however this time it went over the bar.
David Ndhabwe scored a winning penalty for the maroons FC, and the coach expressed great excitement about the victory. Meanwhile, today’s Uganda cup game will be between UPDF and Busia young.
