Farouk Miya 21 will always be remembered for the remarkable goal he scored for Uganda Cranes team to qualify for AFCON after 38 years.

He joined the national team camp today in Abu dhobi from Croatia where he plays from in club called HNK Gorica.

The player had a good season and is currently on a good form, for he scored goals in most of the last matches in the league including the last match where he scored one goal and made two assists.

He was able to score 5 goals and several assists in 22 matches that he played in the Croatian league.

Farouk Miya has scored 22 goals in 55 matches on the national team.

17 players have so far have joined the national team camp and more 11 players are yet to get on board.

Meanwhile, the second national team of 20 players and 9 officials has flown to South Africa for COSAFA tournament, the cranes will start at semifinals and will be playing with Lesotho.

Abudalah Mubiru the police FC coach is the team coach standing in for Desabres who is preparing the first team ahead of AFCON, Livingstone Mbabazi is the assistant coach and Geoffrey Masa is part of the team.
