The masaza football tournament will kick off in the Mityana city in the Kabaka County of Singo. Kabaka will see off the kickoff of the competition as Singo toss it out with Ssesse at Singo stadium.
Sir Henry Sekabembe Kiberu the minister for sports, youth and leisure, working together with the security officials spent the whole day monitoring the field to ensure that everything necessary is in place.
The field was not in a good condition; at least not to the standard as some parts of the field has grass and some don’t. In addition, the state of the dressing room was not pleasing as the buildings are in a shoddy state.
Minister Ssekabembe said that they are working around the clock to see that everything is set by Saturday.
A meeting was held with Singo county leaders, security officials, chaired by RPC Wamala region, DPC Mityana district and captain Stanley Musaazi Kabaka’s security director, the fans were cautioned to be security conscious and mostly to beware of accidents.
The Singo fans hosting the tournament, praised their team saying that it is the hottest.
Singo will play with Ssese on Saturday 1 June, for Singo to host the competition; it came as a result of the changes made which gives the champion an opportunity to host the next competition.
