The national boxing team the bombers has so far spent 14 days in the training camp preparing ahead of Olympic qualifiers. In effort to motivate the team.
Moses Muhangi the president of Uganda boxing federation invited Hamson Obua the state minister for sports to visit the team in the camp. At around 12:30 the new minister paid a visit to the camp which is in Luzira prison alongside the NCS members and the other UBF leaders. Muhangi narrated to the minister the challenges faced by the team including lack of training facilities, finances etc.

In his address, the minister admonished the team members with encouraging words that will enable them to succeed in their career.
In the same way, the minister urged them not to emphasize the negative but to always be positive, because as the ministry will inject more money in the sport during his term of office.
Among the fighters in the camp include Bwambale who was born and raised in Sweden, he is in the heavyweight category, he said that he is determined to represent Uganda in the Olympics despite the language barrier challenge. Meanwhile, other players are so eager for the Olympics qualifiers.
