For the past 2 years, Uganda has been wining the African netball cup, likewise, the team has boarded to south Africa eyeing the same title though this team they will find it hard to knock out south Africa and Malawi that have not been participating in the previous years.

On Monday she cranes team of 11 players and 10 officials boarded to south Africa aiming at winning the African netball cup.

Surprisingly, the officials on the team nearly outnumbered the players.

Among the players on the team include Jesca Achan,Privas Kayey, Irene Eyaru, Irene
Mirembe, Mary Nuba Cholock, Shaffie Nalwanja, Nampungu Joan, Stella
Nanfuka, Stella Oyella, Martha Soigi, Hindu Namutebi. However, the best players on the team have been left out such as captain peace Proscovia, Ajio Lillian, Meme Ruth, Rachel Nanyonga etc. It is alleged that Nanyonga Ruth was dropped because of the disagreement with one of the officials, although the netball president trashed the allegations. The tournament will kick off on Friday this week where she cranes will be tossing it out with Zimbabwe. Meanwhile, the bus that was donated to the team by the members of parliament failed due to a mechanical break down as a result the team had to board a taxi to Entebbe airport.
