Sexual abuse on the rise in Bundibugyo district

The practice of sexually abusing children and defilement has increased in Bundibugyo district, Rwenzori.

Maryscent Ariyo, the Deputy Resident District Commissioner of Bundibugyo, says they will work together with leaders and parents to end the practice.

Kyarisima Charity and Tusiime Hildah explained that many are defiled and it goes unreported.

Kyarisima added that most of the people who defile children are their own parents, and they fear to report them.

They have called for a collective effort to fight against those who defile children and urged leaders to provide funds.
