Ruparelia Foundation Brings Christmas Cheer to Vulnerable Children

As families across the country prepare for Christmas celebrations, many vulnerable children and guardians face significant challenges in meeting basic daily needs and partaking in the festive season.

In a heartwarming initiative to bridge this gap, the Ruparelia Foundation, led by its Vice Chairperson Annette Kim, visited the Crystal Children's Centre in Seguku Katale on Saturday. The foundation delivered a substantial donation of essential items to support the children.

The donation included a wide range of goods such as mattresses, clothing, foodstuffs, bags of rice, sugar, and many other vital supplies.

Annette Kim, Vice Chairperson of the Ruparelia Foundation, explained that this act of charity is a regular undertaking by the foundation, especially intensified during festive seasons like Christmas.

She emphasised that the focus is not on the monetary value spent but on the profound importance of sharing what they have with those in need.

The children at the centre, approximately 50 in number, are primarily rescued from street situations and are under care and rehabilitation. Some are referred through the police before being placed under the centre's guardianship.

David Kibalama, the Director of the Crystal Children's Centre, expressed his gratitude to God for using the Ruparelia Foundation group to remember and address the needs of the vulnerable children under their care.

Mr Sudhir Ruparelia started the Ruparelia Foundation. It has been revealed that she established it in memory of her son, the late Rajiv Ruparelia, a beloved socialite.

The foundation continues its legacy of compassion by sharing with orphaned children and their caretakers. The beneficiaries used the occasion to express their appreciation to the Ruparelia family for their philanthropic work in the country.
