Professor Madhu Extends Support to Vulnerable Children, Elderly in Wakiso

Professor Madhu Krishan, a visitor from America, has today completed a day dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals in Wakiso district, Uganda. Despite being elderly and having spent a month undergoing medical treatment in the United States, he managed to undertake the long journey from America to attend the swearing-in ceremony of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, which took place on May 12, 2026.

After participating in the inauguration festivities, His Excellence decided to visit a children's home in Sanga, located in Wakiso district in central Uganda. During his visit, he reached out to the young children and the elderly who lack the means to support themselves. Professor Madhu Krishan prayed for the children he met, asking that they grow into responsible citizens in the future, and that God grants them a good life so that they may lack nothing as they grow up.

Additionally, His Excellence Professor Krishan prayed for President Museveni, asking God to bless him with strength, good health, and protection. He also prayed that the President continues to lead Uganda effectively, recognizing him as a leader who has worked tirelessly to foster unity among African nations.

The Professor generously provided financial support to those assisting in the care of the children and the elderly, contributing his own resources towards their welfare. Tomorrow, on Friday, he is expected to join supporters of the State Minister for Urban Development, Persis Namuganza, at a party taking place in Ntinda, Kampala. This follows her swearing-in as the Member of Parliament for Bukono County.

As Ugandans, we take pride in the good relationship that His Excellence Professor Madhu Krishan has with our country. Even though he is still recovering from illness and not yet fully healed, he managed to travel from America to celebrate with Ugandans as they swore in their President, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
