NAGGALAMA, UGANDA – Authorities at Naggalama Police Station are investigating a fatal road accident that occurred on September 17, 2025, at approximately 11:00 am. The incident occurred in Ndwademutwe Village, located along the Mayangayanga Road.
The collision involved a tuk-tuk (auto rickshaw) with registration number UMA 053AP, driven by Nsubuga James, and a motorcycle ridden by Kiwanika Ramazan. The motorcycle has not been identified by registration number.
Tragically, the accident resulted in two fatalities:
  Kiwanuka Ramazan, 19, a resident of Kanyogoga Village, Namataba
  Ssempebwa Rogers, 27, also a resident of Kanyogoga Village, Namataba, Mukono District
Three individuals sustained injuries and received treatment:
  Nsubuga James, the tuk-tuk driver and a resident of Ntawo, Mukono District
  Luzinda Jovan, a resident of Ntawo
  Simmon, a resident of Ntawo
Preliminary reports indicate the tuk-tuk was travelling from Nakifuma to Mayangayanga with five passengers on board. It collided with a group of motorcycle riders who were escorting Douglas Namujaala, a mayoral contestant for the Namataba Town Council.
The motorcycle rider, Kiwanuka Ramazan, died instantly at the scene. One of his passengers, Ssempebwa Rogers, succumbed to his injuries while en route to the hospital. Following the collision, the other riders in the escort group fled the scene with their motorcycles.
