Interforces Drill Competition Unites Security Forces in Spectacular Display of Discipline and Teamwork
Kampala, Uganda – The Kololo Ceremonial Grounds came alive this week as sixteen elite teams from Uganda’s security forces competed in the highly anticipated CDF Interforces Drill Competition. The event, a vibrant showcase of precision, discipline, and unity, culminated in a triumphant victory for the Internal Security Organisation (ISO), which took home a 10 million Ugandan Shilling prize awarded by the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF).
The competition brought together teams from various branches of Uganda’s security apparatus, each demonstrating exceptional drill proficiency, synchronised movements, and unwavering teamwork. Spectators, including senior military officials and civilians, were treated to an impressive exhibition of marching formations, weapon handling, and command execution—all hallmarks of Uganda’s disciplined forces.
After a fiercely contested event, the Internal Security Organisation (ISO) claimed top honours, earning praise for their flawless coordination and sharp execution. The CDF, who presided over the awards ceremony, commended all participants for their dedication before presenting ISO with the 10 million UGX cash prize—a reward for their outstanding performance.
Beyond the competition, the event served as a platform to enhance collaboration and esprit de corps among Uganda’s security agencies. Such initiatives reinforce professionalism, mutual respect, and healthy rivalry—key elements in maintaining a cohesive and effective national security framework.
With this year’s edition declared a resounding success, organisers and participants alike are already looking forward to next year’s competition, which promises to be even bigger and more competitive.
