A family in Kisuumu central village, Kasambya district, Mubende, is appealing to President Museveni for compensation for over 80 cattle stolen during the attack on Kabamba barracks.
Lubwama Merigeriddo, a family member, recounts how the cattle were taken by alleged Obote men in retaliation for the attack. Despite efforts to chase after the thieves, the family was unable to recover their livestock.
The family's livelihood has been severely impacted, leaving them in poverty. Lubwama's parents have since passed away, and he is now seeking help from the authorities.
Presidential spokesperson Lule Umar Mawiya stated that Lubwama's issue has not been brought to his attention. The family remains hopeful that President Museveni will address their plight during his visit to Mubende.
