After three days of training to improve the quality, coffee farmers have been urged not to compromise but to make inquiries so that they get equipped with necessary skills.
Most of the participants came from different rural areas where coffee farming is highly practised. The participants were urged to carry on the training to the rest of the farmers at home in the Oder to improve the quality of coffee, this being the goal of the UCDA.
According to Edmond Kananura the head of quality in UCDA, if the farmers implement the skills obtained from this training, it is obvious that the quality of the coffee will improve and the farmers’ income rise at the same time.
