Masembe Isaac, 19 won a silver medal in all African games through boxing, the sport that drew 3 out of the 8 medals that Uganda won.

Masembe who plays in the COPAB boxing club, which has produced so many greater boxers in Uganda, it is found at Lubya hill in Kampala. Though the club is characterised by lack of equipment due to limited funding, over 50 boxers train with the club every day and go back home empty-handed. Lawrence Kalyango the club coach said that they are so proud of Masembe who won a silver medal in All African games.

COPAB is set to play with Kongowa boxing club from Kenya on the 15-September, but the club is financially constrained, therefore they have appealed for support.

Some of the boxers in the same club with Masembe said that they strongly desire to get out of the current state and live in better conditions.
