Moses Magogo the FUFA president was elected on the executive committee representing the east and central Africa (CECAFA) when he defeated his counterpart of Tanzania Leodaga Tenag, Magago merged winner with 33 votes whereas Tenga acquired only 19 votes.
The 41st CAF convention currently held in Egypt has brought together 54 African stated to discuss a way forward for the African football.
Among the issues discussed, two have been put at the forefront, which includes grouping teams for AFCON Cameroon 2021 qualifiers and to elect the executive committee in which Uganda thrived.
CECAFA is comprised of 12 national, which include, Burundi, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, and Sudan Uganda & Zanzibar.
Being the first Ugandan to seat in this position, their victory means so much to Ugandans and he will be reigning for 4 years.
Finally, the AFCON 2012 grouping took off and Uganda landed in group B together with Burkina Faso Malawi, and a winner between South Sudan & Seychelles.
