Twenty-five Ugandan boxing coaches have been appointed for AIBA 1-STAR upgrade training, scheduled for 1 week & organized by AIBA at katikati Lugogo.

Ofori Asare from Ghana on behalf of AIBA is carrying out the training that is taking place for the second time in Uganda’s boxing history.

Coaches from different boxing clubs were selected to take part in this training including Dan Kasole from police boxing club, Mukankusi from zebra boxing club, Hassan Khalil from KCCA and so forth, though registration fee is Shs150000.

Most of the boxing coaches in Uganda fall in the category of 1-Star level and only three coaches are in the next 3 categories, which include Sam Rukundo, Samuel, Kabugo & Lawrence Kalyango.
