Disturbing news coming in from Egypt indicates that Uganda Cranes players are on strike and missed a training session set for 7 pm local time over unpaid bonuses and allowances!
It's said that Uganda Cranes players are supposed to have a winning bonus of $6000 for the DR Congo win and a bonus of $2000 for the draw against Zimbabwe.
According to reports from there, one player was quoted saying; “We are not training today, we need our allowances paid! You journalists report that we have been cleared yet in the actual sense, we have not, so we are putting our tools down until something is done!”
The Cranes face Senegal in the Round of 16 this Friday at 10 pm at Cairo International Stadium!
