Personal Data is collected for the following purposes and using the following services:
When you use this Application, your device is automatically assigned an anonymous identifier. This anonymous data is collected and used solely for the purpose of enabling the chat feature and delivering notifications within the Application. This data does not directly identify you personally.
This Application uses Trackers. To learn more, Users may consult the Cookie Policy.
Our application includes interactive chat features that allow users to engage in real-time discussions related to live radio and TV programs. This section outlines how these features operate and how user data is collected, used, and managed within them.
The chat system facilitates dynamic communication among users during specific live programs. Key functionalities include:
Real-time Messaging: Users can send and receive text messages instantly within designated chat rooms for each program.
User Profiles: Each chat participant is associated with a user profile that displays their chosen name, location, and an optional profile image.
Reply and Edit: Users can reply to specific messages and, for a limited time, edit their own sent messages.
Lottie Emojis/Expressions: Users can send animated Lottie emojis or expressions to enhance their communication.
Admin Moderation: Our administrators have capabilities to manage the chat environment, including deleting inappropriate messages, blocking users, and setting pinned topics for discussion.
To provide and maintain the chat service, we collect and process certain user data:
User Profile Data:
Data Collected: We collect your chosen Name, Location, and Date of Birth (DOB) during initial profile setup. You may also upload an optional Profile Image.
Purpose: This data is used to personalize your chat experience, identify you to other chat participants, and for internal age verification purposes (DOB). Your name, location, and profile image are displayed alongside your messages in the chat. Your Date of Birth is used solely for age verification and consent management and is not publicly displayed.
Storage: This information is securely stored in our Firebase Firestore database within the users collection.
Access: Your name, location, and profile image are visible to other chat participants. Our administrators have access to all profile data for moderation and support purposes.
Chat Message Data:
Data Collected: When you send a message, we collect the Message Content, your User ID, your displayed Name, Location, and Profile Image URL at the time of sending. We also record a Timestamp for each message. If you reply to a message, we store the ID, content, and sender's name of the replied-to message. If you send a Lottie emoji, the Lottie URL is stored. Messages sent by administrators are flagged as isAdminMessage. We also track if a message has been isDeleted or isEdited.
Purpose: This data is essential for facilitating real-time communication, displaying chat history, enabling reply functionality, and supporting our moderation efforts to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
Storage: Chat messages are stored in our Firebase Firestore database within program-specific chatRooms (for radio) and tvChatRooms (for TV) collections, each containing a sub-collection for messages.
Access: All messages are visible to participants within the respective chat room. Our administrators have full access to message data for moderation, including the ability to delete messages and block users.
Admin Actions Data:
Data Collected: Records of administrative actions, such as the User ID of a blocked user or the User ID of an administrator who deletes a message, are stored.
Purpose: This data is used to track and enforce moderation decisions, ensuring accountability and maintaining the integrity of the chat environment.
Storage: This data is integrated into relevant user profiles (e.g., isBlocked status) or message documents (e.g., deletedBy field) within Firebase Firestore.
Access: Primarily accessible to our administrative team for operational and auditing purposes.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of children online and comply with relevant regulations such as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Google Play Family Policy.
Age Verification: Upon initial profile setup, users are required to provide their Date of Birth.
Users Under 18:
If a user is identified as being under 18 years of age, access to the chat feature is restricted.
A Parental Consent Gate is presented, requiring a parent or guardian to complete a verification process (e.g., a math problem and year of birth confirmation) to enable chat access for the minor.
This Parental Consent Gate will be displayed every time a user identified as under 18 attempts to access the chat feature. This continuous re-prompting ensures ongoing parental awareness and consent for the minor's participation in the chat.
Data Handling for Minors: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant age in your jurisdiction) without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected without such consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information.
Adult Users (18 and Over):
Adult users are shown a one-time Online Safety Reminder upon their first access to the chat after profile completion.
Chat functionality is enabled for adult users after they acknowledge this reminder.
All user data related to chat features is stored in Firebase Firestore, which leverages Google's robust security infrastructure and practices. User authentication is managed through Firebase Authentication, providing secure access control.
Users have control over their profile information and can:
Update their name, location, and profile image within the application.
Report or block other users, which will be reviewed and acted upon by our administrative team.
Please be aware that messages sent in chat rooms are public within that specific program's chat.
We strongly advise against sharing any personal or sensitive information (e.g., full name, address, phone number, email, social media handles) in public chat rooms.
Always exercise caution and be mindful of your interactions with others online.
For a complete understanding of our data practices, please refer to our full Privacy Policy.
