He appeared to be sad and sorrowful while he reflected on how far God has brought the body of Christ or the believers from the Amin’s regime when they went through a lot of persecution, prof. Simeon Kayiwa of Namirembe Christian fellowship said that a clique of a few people is trying to take the church back to the same situation.
In the same way prof. Simeon Kayiwa warned on the danger that is likely to be brought about by the proposed policy, the professor said that this will only erode the prevailing freedom of worship.
With boldness and without any fear of the out of the battle of faith for His God, he asserted that the God he serves can not be limited, he added that this a battle between God and satan.
According to pr Kayiwa the body of Christ is all about love but not fronting divisions and personal interests.
Meanwhile, prof Kayiwa opposed the proposed policy to regulate faith-based organisation, which was proposed by Fr Lukodo the minister of ethics and integrity.
He plainly stated that the state can not regulate the church because God can not be guided by the laws that are enacted by men who have even never been to church.
More on that he was puzzled the idea that a secular nation can regulate the body of Christ.
Finally, he noted that no man has authority and power to make any law for God who created the heaven and the earth, he, therefore, likened everything in the policy to the foolishness of the highest order.
