Today’s morning believers from the HPMI church pastored by Pr. Aloysius Bujjingo at Makerere Kikoni have taken another step of water baptism as a sign of confirming their entrance into the kingdom of God.

The baptism was led by Pr. Victor Francis Mutawe of HPMI, who preached from the book of Mark 16:16 which says “ He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned”.

During the water baptism which was done in the swimming pool Pr. Mutawe declared that when a person gets baptized, he/she receives a spiritual gift and is set free from all evil spirits.

In his preaching, Pr. Mutawe advised believers not to draw back to old ways, for whoever turns back is like a beast that has no understanding.

After the preaching, ministers from HPMI started to baptize people; in our conversation with the baptized, they joyful stated that they were feeling rejuvenated, transformed, & peaceful in the new life they received.

 Among those who were baptized, are those who traveled long distances, saying that they could not miss this opportunity to become part of God’s family.
