Kawempe Hospital Turned Conmen’s Haven

The patients in the Kawempe national referral hospital are in a panic because of the fraudsters that pause as specialists and doctors ready to offer medical assistance to them only lure them and rid them of lots of money.

Over 175 patients at the hospital complained over the conmen that are all over the hospital only to con the unsuspecting patients.

The among the shameless conmen include a lady that the patients pointed out & accused of ripping them when she promised to help them see specialists. As a result, the lady was apprehended by the authorities.

 

Khalid Boogere one the victim recounted that he was conned Shs 180000 after being promised to meet a surgeon to operate him but all in vain.

Grace Lubaale the operations manager at the Kawempe based hospital said that he got to know about the conspiracy when he was moving around checking on the patients in the queue only to be requested by the patients to talk to the doctors to stop taking money from them.

Amidst the mocking and chanting from the patients The police dragged to the Kawempe police station Grace Alinda the fraudster who was arrested, despite the pleading and weeping all the way.
