Uganda Cranes Hunting For A New Coach, Magogo

Last Sunday Sebastian Desbre resigned as Uganda cranes coach and the Kobs under 23 teams only to join Pyramids FC an Egyptian club.

While the press conference at FUFA house, Moses Magogo the FUFA president declared that the search is on not only for the Uganda cranes senior team but for under 23, 20, 17 and 15. Besides the coaches, there are vacancies for team assistants since all the occupants of those positions were fired.

Abdallah Mubiru who coached the cranes second team to CASAFA has been appointed as the tentative coach with assistants such as Geoffrey Masa, Livingstone Mbabazi Sako & Sadik Wassa. Meanwhile, Uganda cranes team is preparing ahead for the CAF championship qualifiers in a game against Somalia to be played on 28-July 2019.

However many foot analysts received the idea of using local coaches with mixed feelings.

On the same occasion, Magogo declared plans to qualify for the 2026 world cup in Mexico, USA & Canada
