First Lady Janet Museveni Sees off The She-Cranes Takeoff To Netball World cup 2019, as players Plan To Strike Over Unfulfilled Bonus Promises

Janet Kataha Museveni the minister of education and sports and the first lady bade farewell & handed the Uganda flag to the to take she cranes as they took off to England to participate in the netball world 2019

7 days to the kickoff as Uganda will be playing with England the host in the opening match.

While handing the national flag Hon. Kataha urged the young ladies to put God first in everything they do.

According to the first lady, she has a lot of hopes in she cranes team.

This the 3rd time Uganda is participating in the tournament including the last one that took place in 2015, as per now she cranes ranks 3rd in the world rankings.

Sadly, until now the team has not yet received the money that was promised to them when they qualified for the tournament, some of the team members that preferred identity concealed revealed that unless something is done, they have surprise similar to what the Uganda cranes did when they boycotted training in AFCON.

Lillian who received the national flag on behalf of the team lamented that such issues are likely to adversely affect the team.

Mary Nuba, who plays netball in Uganda assured that her presence on the team is an asset being that she is well conversant with the opponent’s style.

On the twelve-player team, there is Peace Proscovia the captain who plays in Austria and currently in England where the teammates while joining her.

Other players include, Mary Nubba Cholkoh (Loughborough Lightning), Lillian Ajio (Prisons), Jessica Achan (Prisons), Meeme Ruth (NIC), Betty Kizza ( NIC), Rachael Nanyonga ( NIC), Sylvia Nanyonga (Prisons), Joan Nampugu (NIC), Stella Oyella (NIC), Stella Nanfuka (Prisons), Muhaimuna Naamuwaya (NIC)
