Uganda’s Roy Mubiru Shines in the USA

Roy Mubiru a powerlifter is one of the Ugandan who has made Uganda famous in the USA. Next week 12th -Oct will be participating in the world competitions WBA world cup championship in Washington DC USA.

At beginning of the year, he met the president when he was about to participate in the similar competition and he gave him shs 29 million for preparations, he was able to obtain several medals and setting new records in the competition. Mubiru said that he feels motivated because Uganda has started to appreciate him for the achievements and pledged to continue winning medals and setting new records in this sport. To differ from other sports powerlifting requires a lot of energy, the sport has various categories including  Squat, Bench press, etc. Mubiru who is 225 kgs lifts up to 555kgs.
