Cheptegie Pledges to Win gold Medal in the 2019 Olympics

Uganda's star Joshua Cheptegei has won the gold medals in all major athletic competitions but missing only the Olympics. Cheptegei 23, is the captain of the 22 athletes team to participate in the 2019 Olympics set to kick off on the 27-September 2019 in the Qatar capital Doha.

While at the training grounds in Kapichorwa, the athletes underwent a drug test and sensitized about the prohibited substances. Cheptegie who will be participating in the 10000-meter race pledged to return home with a gold medal.

 Team Uganda will be participating in various categories including; 400, 800, 1500, 5000, 10,000 and the marathon.

In the last 2017 Olympics, Uganda scooped a single silver medal through Cheptegie in the 10000 metres.
