Vice President Jessica Alupo endorse President Museveni for another election term

Vice President Jessica Alupo has endorsed President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for another election term come 2026.

Ms Alupo fronted President Museveni as their next leader on Monday at the opening of the 12th Conference of Ministers of the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD) at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Kampala, on Monday, 21 November 2022.

During her speech, Vice President Alupo said: "We as stake holders in this government, we have endorsed President Museveni to keep leading us even beyond 2026.”

She added that they still have hopes in Mr Museveni to lead Uganda  during and after 2026 elections.

She said the President has abolished discrimination in Africa.  "President Museveni has always told us to have zero tolerance of discrimination because Africa we are one," Alupo said, adding that Africans must continue working together to develop Africa.

Alupo becomes the third high ranking government official to endorse President Museveni ahead of 2026 elections following Internal Affairs Minister Maj Gen (Rtd) Kahinda Otafiire and a group of retired UPDF Generals led by Gen Stephen Kashaka.
