NRM will continue to persuade opposition leaders  - prime minister

The Prime Minister of Uganda, Robinah Nabbanja, has said that the NRM will continue to persuade good politicians, especially those in the opposition, to join the NRM to serve in the government.



The Prime Minister was speaking in Soroti to campaign for NRM candidate Herbert Edmound Ariko.

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja today joined NRM leaders in Soroti East to campaign for Herbert Edmound Ariko.

He first visited the home of NRM Eastern Region Deputy Chairman Captain Mike Mukula and met some of the party leaders in the region.
Nabbanjja held her first rally at Kengere amidst a crowd of party supporters.
 
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Karamojja Minister Agnes Nandutu , newly appointed Sports Minister Peter Ogwang and some MPs representing the region.
 
The Prime Minister said the NRM is still persuading opposition politicians to join it so that they can serve in the NRM government
 
He also assured that they will not allow the seat to be taken away from them by the NRM.
 
NRM National Secretary General Rose Nansubuga Sseninde said the heat in their camp has increased since the prime minister arrived.
 
NRM south vice chairman captain mike mukula has urged Soroti residents not to block development by electing people who do not work for them.
